In 2018, Roseville College celebrated 110 years of realising purpose in the lives of thousands of Australian women, who call this school their own. And, realising purpose is what we continue to do well; equipping our girls to discern and envisage a future with hope, furnished to achieve and fulfil.

Ours is a proud history of providing a relevant education, contemporary with the times, which empowers and readies girls for a purposeful, fulfilling future beyond the school gates.

Roseville College has a distinguished history and a tradition of achievement with a strong record for placing graduates in universities and institutions of higher education, and for launching young women into worthwhile and rewarding vocations and careers.

Roseville College was founded in 1908 by Miss Isobel Davies, the daughter of a retired Welsh clergyman. Seven pupils, a small playing field and a cottage known as “Hinemoa” (named after a Maori Princess) formed the humble beginnings of Roseville College. By the end of the first year the school was established with 24 students. Naturally, the school has grown over the years; but it still retains the calm, thoughtful and caring atmosphere of Miss Davies’ little school.

As the school developed academically, so, too, did the range of co-curricular activities offered. The College campus has evolved steadily due to the continued updating, expansion and improvement of its property and facilities. Today, Roseville College enrols over 900 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 in our Junior, Middle and Senior Schools.

We are grateful to those who came before us, to the many who inspired and created this school for girls in the heart of the beautiful North Shore of Sydney. Throughout our history, this truth remains: each girl matters. Holding firm to this truth is integral to Roseville College’s strategic direction moving forward.
